10 killed, 40 injured in Pakistan blast

Islamabad, Sep 10 (IANS) At least 10 people were killed and 40 injured in a blast Monday in Pakistan's northwest tribal region along the border with Afghanistan, Geo News reported.

The blast took place in Kashmir Chowk area of Parachinar in Kurram agency.

Official sources said the explosives were fixed in a vehicle.

Power supply to the area was cut off and panic gripped the area after the blast, officials said.
