Thanks to his many U-turns, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal has earned the nickname of Paltiwal.
A look at 10 of his paltis (U-turns)...
1. Politics: It is the right of every Indian to enter politics, but in Kejriwal's case, it is the hypocrisy that is striking. During the Anna Hazare movement, the entire leadership of India Against Corruption railed against politicians and said that they would have nothing to do with politics ever.
Kejriwal was no different and had said on many an occasion that he would never enter politics. Not only did he launch his own political party, but he has proved to be just like any other common politician.
2. Congress: During the August Kranti agitation, Congress was enemy Number 1. Members of other political parties also sympathized and shared the stage with the anti-corruption crusaders.
While contesting the Delhi elections, Kejriwal swore by his children that he would never take the support of the Congress.
While the BJP (including its earlier avatar Bharatiya Jana Sangh) has been resisting the Congress for 60 odd years now, Kejriwal's resistance to Congress crumbled within days!
