At least 11 people died and around 25 were injured in a road accident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday.
The passengers were travelling in an Uttarakhand State Transport Corporation bus, which rammed into a tree near Moradabad.
The travellers were returning home after offering prayers at a temple in Haridwar.
Kalyan Singh, a passenger, told reporters that rash driving caused the accident. He said the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
An inquiry has been ordered into the accident. (ANI)
