2. The Mahashatak: It seems a long time ago. Sachin Tendulkar had just scored a prolific 14 international centuries in 18 months to jump from Century No. 85 to 99. After that came the World Cup semi-final. Sachin was playing on 85 after being dropped half-a-dozen times and surviving a UDRS reversal of his dismissal.
History and luck seemed to be on his side. Then that infamous Shahid Afridi catch off Saeed Ajmal's bowling that led to a stunned silence and disbelief. That disbelief has almost lasted for ten months and Sachin has seen two agonizing 90s since then.
