2011 showed was a happening year and showed a lot of promise, but it still had its fair share of misses...
1. The Lokpal Act: The Indian anti-corruption movement started at the beginning of the year with a lot of players, but by August, social activist Anna Hazare had taken a clear lead in spearheading the movement. The whole country was brought to a standstill and Parliament united to break Anna's fast.
The Lokpal Bill had been hanging for 40 odd years and everyone thought that it would finally be passed in the winter session. But despite all the drama, we enter 2012 without any Lokpal consensus, forget an Act.
