17 inmates injured in Bihar jail clash

Police in Bihar's West Champaran District on Thursday confirmed that at least 17 prisoners were injured in a clash between two groups of inmates at the Bettiah divisional jail.

The clash occurred as two prisoners were engaged in a dispute as they were being taken to court in jail vehicle on Wednesday.

The situation has since been brought under control.

The injured were provided medical treatment in jail hospital.

A case has been registered on the basis of statement of the jail administration. (ANI)
