2 Indians found murdered in Fiji

Suva (Fiji): Police on Sunday found the decomposed bodies of two Indians missing in Fiji since December, reports said.

Rajamanickam Venkatachalam (36) and Ramakrishnan Amirthalingam (40), who had gone missing since mid-December, were murdered, packed into two suitcases and reportedly dumped in a Suva farmland.

The murdered duo was in the iron and oil export and import business.

The victims had gone missing since December 14.

“We contacted my brother’s mobile phone, which was answered by his manager Ravi Padayachi in Suva. He said Ramakrishnan and Rajamanickam had gone to the nearby Vista Islands on work and didn’t return,” Ramakrishnan's brother Ganesh Rajan said.

Fijian police have arrested Padayachi and some of his aides in this connection.
