Islamabad: Around 250 Pakistani Hindu pilgrims were allowed to cross over to India on Friday after initially being detained at the Wagah land border crossing.
The group had earlier been stopped for almost seven hours due to a controversy over reports that they planned to migrate to the neighbouring country.
Pakistani immigration authorities finally allowed the Hindus to cross the frontier at about 2.30 pm after the country's Interior Ministry sent its approval, media reports said.
A special government team was sent to interview the pilgrims who were given a 33-day visa to visit different Indian cities.
