New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday told a Delhi court that India should start extraditing process for 26/11 conspirator David Coleman Headley as the earliest.
"We don´t recognise David Headley´s plea bargain with the US. India should start the process to extradite him as soon as possible," the NIA told the court.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in December gave sanctions to the NIA to file chargesheet against the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative and two Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officials in connection to the 2008 Mumbai terror attack case.
The government sanctioned NIA to file chargesheets against nine persons that included the names of Headley and two other ISI officials.
Headley, a conspirator of the Nov 2008 attack on India´s financial capital that killed over 160 people, including six Americans, testified against his former schoolmate Rana who allegedly provided logistical support during Headley´s recon missions.
