US Presidential candidate for 2012 elections Mitt Romney could convince only 47.2 percent of voters that he was the right man to lead the country.

The figures have been revealed in a tabulation of official presidential votes from all 50 states by an American news agency.

According to ABC News, that number, 47 percent, resonates in the context of the race because of Romney's infamous "47 percent" comments that seemed to have an effect on the race.

In hidden camera video clips, which were posted by Mother Jones, Romney was seen saying that 47 percent of voters will chose Obama "no matter what" because they are people "who are dependent upon government.

" (They are people) who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it," he had said in the video.

"That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what...These are people who pay no income tax," he added.

Romney even said that 'he wont worry about those people and never convince them to take personal responsibility and care for their lives.' (ANI)
