London: An elderly Briton, who survived 12 heart attacks, has become a father again with his 31-year-old wife undergoing IVF.
Malcolm Lawrence, 67, a retired nurse, also suffers from a chronic lung disorder and crippling pain in his legs and hips. But a month short of his 68th birthday he has a baby daughter almost 30 years after the birth of his son, the Sun reported.
Lawrence, who claims having been young at heart always, said: "When we found out she was pregnant Ann-Marie was crying with happiness and the nurses in the clinic were crying too.
"I've had 12 heart attacks so I've been trying to take it easy. But now I'm having a new lease of life with my baby."
Malcolm and young wife Ann-Marie are even thinking of trying for a second IVF baby next year.
The couple first met when Ann-Marie was a newborn and Lawrence and his first wife were among her babysitters!
