ADB approves Rs.2,354 crore for Chhattisgarh roads

Raipur, Dec 7 (IANS) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved financial assistance of Rs.2,354.40 crore for 19 key roads in the mineral-rich Chhattisgarh, an official statement said Friday.

The government said that four out of the 19 roads have been included in a pilot project at an estimated cost of Rs.453 crore.

The government has also signed an agreement with the ADB for upgrading 15 roads with 70 percent to be provided by the ADB and 30 percent by the state.
