Admiral Gorshkov: Weapons and all

There have been long-standing rumours that India intends to lease two Akula (Russian for shark) class nuclear attack submarines from Russia. While defence ministers of both countries have denied it, speculation continues unabated. The Akula or Project 971 class submarine, called `Shuka` by the Russians is distinctive for its high aft fin which sticks out of the water like a shark`s.
