Raipur, Feb 9 (IANS) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh welcomed the execution of parliament attack plotter Afzal Guru Saturday and said "it would serve as a lesson to terrorists".
"The execution is a right but delayed decision. He should have been hanged much earlier. But anyway, it's better to be late than never," the Bharatiya Janata Party leader said in Raipur.
"Afzal had dared to attack parliament. It was, in fact, an attack on Indian democracy," the chief minister said.
