A new study into strokes and heart attacks has claimed that an apple a day really can keep the doctor away.
However, oranges or even onions can ward off these life-threatening conditions too.

Tests on mice found rutin was "the most potently anti-thrombotic compound that we ever tested".
Human trials will now take place. (ANI)
