Oommen Chandy
His undying loyalty to the Congress finally brought glory to this 61-year old veteran. Chandy was unanimously nominated to the Kerala Chief Minister`s post after A K Antony stepped down. Taking over as the 19th Chief Minister of the stage, Chandy has virtually no time to cool his heels. Reviving the wilting image of Congress, providing the state with a credible leadership and tackling the numerous issues are some of his immediate challenges. Analysts will be closely watching the manner in which he handles the recent debacles in educational and agricultural sectors.
