BJP`s unending woes

Fifty-eight years after Partition, Mohammed Ali Jinnah was blamed for one more division: Lal Krishna Advani was forced to resign as BJP president after his laudatory comments on the father of Pakistan raised the hackles of the Sangh Parivar. Advani`s resignation has plunged the BJP into a crisis -- the latest in a series of embarrassments the party has been facing since it lost the Lok Sabha elections on May 13, 2004. AFP
