New Delhi: The BJP on Friday said it would boycott all meetings convened by Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and show black flags to him until he apologised about his 'Hindu terrorism' remark.
"Training camps of both BJP and RSS are promoting Hindu terrorism. Whether it is Samjhauta blast or Mecca Masjid blast or Malegaon blast, they plant bombs and blame it on the minorities," Shinde had said at the Congress Chintan Shivir held recently in Jaipur.
Reports said the main Opposition party took the decision at the first core group meeting of the BJP after Rajnath Singh took over as party president on January 23.
"The Core Group observed that Mr Shinde's remarks have hurt Hindu sentiments. It condemned his comments that the BJP and RSS run terror training camps. The party has decided that its members and workers will boycott all public programmes in which Mr Shinde takes part," BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar said.
