Bappi Lahiri to visit Chennai to release debut Tamil song

Bollywood playback singer Bappi Lahiri will visit Chennai on Thursday to release a Tamil number he has crooned in upcoming romantic-drama Karuppampatti.

"Bollywood music legend Bappi Lahiri is coming to Chennai to release his song from the film 'Karuppampatti," a source close to the film's unit said.

Lahiri has crooned a number called Disco Naughty Naughty Raja in the film, which is directed by debutant Prabhu Raja Cholan.

This will be the first Tamil song for the 60-year-old.

While Ajmal Ameer plays the lead in the film, Aparnaa Bajpai and Alice Tantardini too have prominent roles. The film also features Archana, M.S. Bhaskar, Jagan, Srinath and Devadarshini.

Sundar K has produced the film, which has music by Kannan.
