Best places to celebrate New Year's Eve

Whether you are with family, friends or complete strangers, New Year's Eve (NYE) is a time for celebration! As the new year inches closer, everybody is excited to revel in joy for the days ahead. It is just two weeks away and if you haven't planned your NYE yet, take your pick out of some of the best places to do so:-

Ediburgh, Scotland: Be a part of the Hogmanay. It is customary for people to walk up to their friend's home with a gift to help bless the house for the new year. This celebration which has it roots in paganism is believed to be more popular than Christmas. This unique tradition is carried out with a torchlight procession from High Street in Old Town to Edinburgh meeting ground of Calton Hill. This ceremony lasts for three to four nights.
