Bhandara: A forensic report into the death of three minor sisters from Bhandara in Maharashtra has reportedly concluded that the girls died of drowning and were not raped, as initially claimed in the autopsy.

The report by a forensic expert claimed that the girls bore no external injuries and their clothes and jewelry etc were intact, media reports said.

There were no signs of poisoning or strangulation, he reportedly added, negating the post-mortem findings which said the girls were sexually abused, killed and then thrown into a well.

The police have interrogated them in connection to the case.

On Feb 16, the bodies of the three sisters, who went missing from school on Feb 14, were found in a well in Bhadara district of Maharashtra.

The mother of the three minor girls demanded arrest of the perpetrators of the crime and their execution.
