Clear day for Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) It was a cold morning in the national capital Tuesday but without the bite. There was a shallow fog and the minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 6.6 degrees Celsius.

A clear day lies ahead with the maximum temperature expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The city was enveloped with a shallow fog in the early hours with visibility at 8.30 a.m. being 500 meters, the IMD official said.

Monday's maximum temperature was 21 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season, while the minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 10.6 degrees Celsius.
