It was not the blue sea that welcomed the Clemenceau, the discarded French warship, when it set sail from Toulon on December 31, bound for Alang in Gujarat to be broken down. The ship has been facing the giant waves of green protests. It is said that the Clemenceau contains anywhere from 40 to over 200 million tonnes of asbestos.
