AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa's growing political strength has led to an unexpected fall-out: it has apparently delayed the launch of Home Minister P Chidambaram's son in active politics.
The Minister and his legal luminary wife Nalini were keen on fielding their son Karti from Sivaganga constituency. Cambridge-educated Karti is presently acting as his father's constituency manager.
Grapevine has it that the doting father even contemplated a Rajya Sabha route for himself, leaving his constituency for Karti. Now the parents have reportedly decided to launch Karti in 2011 State Assembly elections.
