Singapore: Indian High Commissioner in Singapore T. Raghavan made a statement early Saturday morning, indicating that, in accordance with the family's wishes, the body of the Delhi gang-rape victim would be flown back to India.
He did not give any time frame for this however.
"We are deeply saddened by this news," he said.
"The final few hours were very trying for the family, but they dealt with the entire process with a great deal of fortitude and a great deal of courage."
The victim's parents and two brothers had accompanied her to Singapore.
