
New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Thursday filed a 33-page charge-sheet in a city court against five accused in the brutal gang-rape and murder of a 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist.
The formal set of charges was filed against five of the six accused as the sixth person apprehended in the case claimed he is a minor and his case would be heard by the Juvenile Justice Board.
The charge-sheet was filed before Metropolitan Magistrate Surya Malik Grover, who will consider it Jan 5.
Public Prosecutor Rajiv Mohan, while filing the charge-sheet, sought a day's time to file an e-charge-sheet.
Two-day police custody for bus owner for giving fake documents
The owner of the bus in which the 23-year-old girl was gangraped and brutally assaulted on December 16, was on Thursday remanded in police custody for two days by a Delhi court for allegedly submitting false documents for registration of his vehicles.
Metropolitan Magistrate Chhavi Kapoor handed over bus owner Dinesh Yadav to police for his custodial interrogation after it submitted that his custody was required for further investigation in the matter.
