New Delhi, May 27 (IANS) The Delhi government will take up with the finance ministry the issue of difficulties faced by the beneficiaries of Aadhar-based direct cash transfer in withdrawing their money due to allegedly uncooperative attitude of banks.

"We will write a letter to Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram on the issue as beneficiaries under the scheme are facing problem in opening bank accounts as banks have not been rendering their active cooperation," Dikshit told reporters here.

"This is resulting in difficulties in withdrawal of benefit money for the beneficiaries already covered under direct cash transfer," she added.

She was talking after her meeting with Unique Identification Authority of India CEO Nandan Nilekani.
