Floods hit eastern India

A family holds on to their possessions and their goat as they walk away from their flooded home in the village of Rajivnagar in Assam. Monsoon rains have begun inundating large tracts of eastern India. The region`s two major rivers -- Mahisbari and Teesta -- were flooded, with waters inundating tea gardens and nearby villages. AFP
