6. The world is our oyster
There was no shortage of sellers. The traditional heavy weights - Russia, Israel and America, had massive stalls selling whole planes or weapons systems.
While the Russians had their new Sukhoi and MIG, they were also pushing helicopters and Ilyushin transport aircrafts along with various missile systems. Their long partnership with us - more than half of our air force is Russian made - put them at obvious ease. Many of the stalls were labeled -"in continuing partnership".
The Americans have lost to the French in the bidding for the aircraft contract, but that doesn't seem to have dimmed their interest one bit.
