Security was a highlight of the show - but in a good way. All passes had radio-tags embedded within them and a simple swipe displayed your clearance on a computer screen - which were placed at every entrance and exit.
Photo ids were checked and rechecked, politely and with a smile, over half a dozen times
The more serious security, of the armed variety, was also in good evidence - loaded SLRs slung to one side with body armour and padded helmets.
Oddly there was also a commando force, sporting tougher looks and submachine guns, in one corner, eyeing us all with equal and indiscriminate suspicion.
