Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, has said it is the US, and not the Taliban, which was involved in the attack on his convoy.
"The suicide bombs cannot shake our resolve and spirit. The suicide attack cannot be the work of any Muslim, it was orchestrated by the US agents," The News quoted Ahmed, as saying.
"The US, Israel and India have colluded to create unrest in Pakistan," he added.
Ahmed had a narrow escape on Monday after a female suicide bomber detonated her suicide vest soon after his convoy passed through the Ghaiba Khwar area in Haleemzai tehsil.
He ruled out establishment of peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan until the elimination of 'foreign interference'. He said the US wanted to pit religious parties against the Taliban.
He said that although Pakistan got freedom from the British, their agents continue to impose their presence on Pakistan. (ANI)
