Chennai: Kamal Haasan is likely to announce the new date of his film, Vishwaroopam's, release on Monday, said reports.
The film is expected to be released on Friday.
The ban on the film in the state was lifted on Sunday after the actor agreed to edit sound in seven scenes from the movie.
Kamal will, on Monday, withdraw his petition against the ban in Madras High Court.
However, the actor has refused to reveal which scenes of the film will be edited but said a list identifying the audio edits would be sent to the censor board, which would formally declare them. The muting of the seven scenes will be done in the US to ready the film for release in Tamil Nadu.
The film will also carry a prominent disclaimer that it is a work of fiction and does not intend to hurt the feelings of any community.
The Hindi version of the Rs 95-crore blockbuster, Vishwaroop, has been released across the country.
TV news channels quoted some people who saw Viswaroop and found nothing objectionable in it.
"(The film is) not anti-Muslim or anti-India in any manner," said a young film buff.
