Gays celebrate one year of Delhi HC judgment
New Delhi: A joyous and flamboyant crowd of Delhi's gay community gathered on Friday evening in the heart of the city to celebrate the first anniversary of Delhi High Court's judgment decriminalising homosexuality. The Delhi High Court on July 2 last year overturned the 150-year-old section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which penalised people voluntarily engaging in "unnatural sex" with imprisonment up to 10 years or life.
