Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard's new designer glasses, which caused a social media sensation after she wore them for her election announcement, have begun tweeting as @JulesGlasses.
The glasses tweeted, saying they are "sitting on the most famous nose in Australia", reports the Herald Sun.
The specs have already tweeted cheeky messages to Kevin Rudd, The Today Show and Tony Abbott.
The glasses further tweeted, saying that it thinks it is doing "quite well" considering that it is a non sentient object that possesses no fingers.
Gillard, when asked about the spectacles that have caused a national stir said that there comes a time in a woman's life when she has to get a pair of bi-focals and that is what she has done. (ANI)
