Kolkata: A splash of colours is bound to overwhelm visitors journeying through the narrow lanes of North Kolkata to reach Kumartuli- the Godmakers' abode where nimble fingers worked relentlessly in the past months to put finishing touches to Durga idols while a soft strain of light peeps into the dim-lit rooms of the artisans.
