Goods worth Rs.50 lakh looted from Noida unit

Noida, Feb 25 (IANS) About a dozen armed robbers looted goods and other articles worth over Rs.50 lakh from a factory in Noida, police said Monday.

The robbers struck past Sunday midnight in electrical goods manufacturing company Noida Electricals in Sector-80 Phase II Noida.

Police said about a dozen robbers armed with pistols and iron rods barged into the factory, overpowered two security guards and drove in a truck to carry away the robbed articles.

After the robbers fled, the security guards managed to inform factory owner S.K. Gupta and lodge a complaint, police said.

"We are questioning the guards," said Superintendent of Police (City) Yogesh Singh.
