Google honours Disney artist

Mary Blair is not a figure which is well-known to the general public. Her job was, literally, behind the scenes. But she continues to be an inspiration to animator and designers, several of them presumably work with Google to create the Doodle.

Mary Blair created concept arts, background paintings and other set designs for Disney since 1940. Some of the Disney's classics like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Cinderella feature her designs.

Mary Blair died in 1978. Her achievements were luded by Disney in 1991 when they made her a Disney legend.

The Google Doodle is in the form of a typical design used by Disney during Mary's time.
