Accusing the Congress party and the Central Government of playing politics over the issues concerning national security, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that the bringing the NCTC (National Counter Terrorism Centre) issue soon after the Hyderabad Blasts, is highly condemnable.
"We are not against fighting terrorism effectively, and this is not an issue of differences between the states and the Centre, we are just raising our concern about the policy. The government is doing politics by bringing this issue after Hyderabad attack. We condemn this approach," said BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar.
"Blaming the opposition parties is absolutely unacceptable. We will not let the Centre to take away the states' right. Why the Centre has no trust on the state police? The NCTC is not the final solution as it is being projected," he added.
The NCTC, which has regained importance following the Hyderabad serial blasts last week, has been opposed by several states on the ground that law and order was a state subject. (ANI)
