Hazare's health improving; should not fast for one month, say doctors

The health of Anna Hazare, who has been admitted to a private hospital here after suffering from viral infection, is improving but he will need to remain in hospital for a week and not go on fast for at least one month, doctors attending on him said on Sunday.

"He is showing signs of improvement....he is being treated for chest infection and will require to remain in the hospital for at least a week," said Dr Parag Sancheti.

Suresh Pathare, Hazare's secretary said his condition was "stable" but had been advised a complete rest by the doctors.

74-year-old Hazare was admitted to the Sancheti Hospital here last night and his health is being monitored by a team of doctors.

After examining him, the doctors said they have advised Hazare not to fast at least for the next one month.
