Shimla, July 21 (IANS) A day after moderate to heavy showers which led to snapping of several road links following landslides, the hills of Himachal Pradesh Sunday saw subdued rainfall activity, the Met office here said.
Even most of the rivers that were in spate saw a decline in water levels.
"There was no heavy rainfall in the state but precipitation occurred at many places in the state since Saturday," a Met official told IANS.
He said similar weather conditions are likely to continue in the state till Monday.
Shimla got 16 mm of rain, while Nahan town in Sirmaur district received 4.1 mm, Dharamsala had 18 mm and Una 48 mm.
These towns Saturday got 6.6 mm, 185 mm, 148 mm and 105 mm, respectively.
Most of the rivers in the state were in spate following heavy rainfall.
A government spokesperson said that as rainfall subsided, the water level in the Satluj, the Beas and the Yamuna rivers and their tributaries has started receding.
