After hectic parleys, India and the US reached an agreement on the landmark civilian nuclear cooperation. In Bush’s words: “We concluded an historic agreement today.” According to the deal, the US would share American nuclear know-how and fuel with India, while need not sign the international non-proliferation treaty.
