Rome, Feb 3 (IANS) Zdenek Zeman has said he had tried to give his all to help Roma after he was sacked as the team head coach.
Zeman was fired after crisis talks, as Friday night's 2-4 home defeat to Cagliari proved to be the final straw, reports Xinhua.
He released a brief statement on his official website Saturday evening.
"I am sorry for the Roma fans, but I tried to give my all."
This was his second spell with the Giallorossi as he also sat on the Olimpico bench from 1997 to 1999.
