Fall of the year: Mayawati
In 2007, the BJP supremo won a majority on her own to become CM of UP. In 2009, she bagged 21 Lok Sabha seats. She immediately started forwarding her case for becoming PM. But the 2012 UP elections brought her down to earth and she is no longer CM. Currently biding her time.
Cliche of the year: Rs 100 crore-club
Once it was a novelty, but now it is almost becoming a monthly affair. While 2008-10 saw only four movies enter this club, as many as eight movies raked in Rs 100 crore at the box office in 2012. Even Asin has four 100-cr movies!
