It was a red letter day in their lives. After 11 months of strenuous training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai, about 187 young cadets were passing out from their alma mater.
The parents and relatives of the cadets had occupied most of the seats at the Parameshwaran Drill Square by daybreak and were anxiously waiting for the passing out parade.
