The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. following the opposition's vociferous demands that the Liberhan Commission of Inquiry report into the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition be tabled immediately.

The house was initially adjourned till 12 noon. However, the chaos continued when the house reconvened.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders raised slogans and gathered near Speaker Meira Kumar's podium demanding the tabling of the report.

The speaker allowed union minister for New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah to make a statement on the national solar mission, but was forced to adjourn the house as the pandemonium continued.

The uproar had started as soon as the house met at 11 a.m. with the BJP demanding that the report be tabled in the house, following a media report that the Liberhan Commission had indicted senior party leaders, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani. Home Minister P. Chidambaram said there had been no leakage of the report.

There was only one copy of the report and that was with the home ministry, he said.
