Aligarh, March 3 (IANS) Noted Malaysian magician Andrew Lee Sunday said India was like a second home for him because of the "love and affection" he has received from the people here.

"India is like a second home for me. Indians are loving and affectionate... I have made many friends in India," Andrew Lee said while interacting with students at the Mangalayatan University's annual fest 'Atharva-Daksh' in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh town.

The magician, who has performed in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Roorkee, added that he was attracted towards India by her "beauty and culture" and would never forget his "experiences" here.

"Magic (trick) is an art to entertain the audience," he said, adding that it was about connecting with people "you've never met before".

Andrew's magic tricks have admirers in countries including Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Kuwait, Thailand, Qatar and Egypt. "I love my job because it allows me to travel and visit places and learn about different cultures," he said.

A degree holder in nutritional sciences, Andrew Lee started performing magic tricks at the age of 10 as a hobby, which has now became a passion and source of personal contentment for him, he said.

"I have the power to make people smile and laugh through what I do. It brings a sense of fulfilment to make people feel happy," the magician said.
