Reacting to Afghan President Hamid Karzai's allegation that the suicide attack on the country's spy chief was planned in Pakistan, the Foreign Office has said that Afghanistan must share evidence before levelling allegations.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued by the Foreign Office that before levelling charges against Pakistan, the Afghan government should share information or evidence with the Pakistani government regarding the attack, reports the Daily Times.

Commenting on Karzai's statement, the spokesman said the Afghan government would also do well by ordering an investigation into any lapses in the security arrangements around the head of the National Directorate of Security.

The spokesman said that Pakistan, on its part, is ready to assist any investigation into this criminal action. (ANI)
