New Delhi: Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said the escalation of tension along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir should not be accepted by the governments of both India and Pakistan.

"Frankly, I don't know the facts but whoever is doing it.....the situation is terrible and escalating on the Line of Control where we have had a peaceful Line of Control and at this time it should be totally unacceptable to both the governments,"Musharraf told Times Now.

"I really don't know the reality. But there are accusations from Indian side which I do hear...But there were clarification and counter accusations from the Pakistani side," he said.

Ties between the two nuclear armed neighbours deteriorated last week over border firing and killing of two Indian soldiers, including the beheading of one of the martyrs by Pakistani troops.

Pakistan has, however, denied its soldiers killed or beheaded any Indian soldiers.
