Kasab has appealed against his death sentence and the hearings of that appeal proceeded during the week. He seemed to be in no mood to be either co-operative or in a cheerful spirit during that time - easy to understand, considering his fate.
Kasab spent the week fighting with his jailers, his lawyer and generally causing mayhem. He even spat on the webcam set up for his video trail. Ironically the trial is being conducted through web-cam specifically so that the judges would not have to face such antics in the live court.
The official reason given originally was that it was dangerous to keep transporting him from the jail to the court and he claimed he was angry because he was not allowed to personally attend but his tantrums have hardly warmed the judges to either his plea or his requests to appear before them.
Who says technology is not making life more interesting?
