Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said he would return home some two and a half months before the forthcoming elections to boost the electoral chances of his party - All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).
The APML chief said he was convinced the people of Pakistan were ready for a political change and he would play his role in this regard, reports The Express Tribune.
Musharraf had pledged last year to end his self-imposed exile and fly back to Pakistan, but then postponed his return citing security threats.
Musharraf said he is yet to set a date for his return as no date has been fixed for the elections. The elections are expected to be held in May.
Musharraf said he was willing to risk his life by deciding to return to Pakistan as there can be "no gain without any risk". He said he has no enmity with anyone, and it is only for his love for Pakistan that he would return. (ANI)
